About Us
Rooted in Ohio. Built for the World.
Drew and Ashley both grew up in Northeast Ohio. They spent close to a decade in Asheville, North Carolina — building things, honing a craft, and figuring out what they actually wanted to do with it. When woodworking became undeniable and the pull toward something of their own grew too strong to ignore, they came home. Not because they had to. Because Barberton was where the next chapter made sense.
The Space
The building they work in has been a lot of things over the years. For decades it was an auto shop — and you can still feel that history in the bones of the place. High ceilings, solid bones, the kind of space that makes you want to make things in it.
When Drew started pulling back layers of drywall he found something nobody expected — a beautiful vintage brick wall with a retro Cola sign painted right into it. It stopped him in his tracks. That wall is still there. It's the backdrop for some of their most striking product photography and a daily reminder that the best things are often already there, just waiting to be uncovered.
The city of Barberton embraced them from the start. In the middle of a real effort to revitalize the community, the city went out of its way to welcome HiFi Woodworks into the space — because they understood that a business like this, rooted in craft and community, was exactly what the neighborhood needed. Drew and Ashley feel that. They take it seriously.
Their dream for the front room is still in progress — a proper showroom and listening space where people can come in, hear what great sound actually feels like in a well-designed room, and understand firsthand why the furniture matters. It's coming.
Drew
Drew can build almost anything — and has. Years of handyman work across every trade gave him a foundation that most woodworkers don't have. But woodworking was always the thing that felt like more than work. Combined with a lifelong obsession with hifi audio, it eventually became impossible to ignore.
When you reach out to HiFi Woodworks with a question about your system or your space, you're getting recommendations from someone who genuinely loves this stuff. Not a sales pitch. Not a spec sheet. A real conversation with someone who has spent years thinking about exactly what you're trying to build.
Ashley
Ashley has spent her career advocating for people — working with families navigating behavioral challenges and supporting children with intellectual disabilities. That shapes everything about how she shows up at HiFi Woodworks: listening carefully, communicating clearly, and making sure every client feels like a priority from first message to final delivery.
Every piece that leaves this shop has been fully inspected with one question in mind: would we want this in our own home? If the answer isn't an immediate yes, it doesn't ship. Ashley holds that standard — and she's the one always thinking about what HiFi Woodworks could become, pushing the brand forward and genuinely loving the reach of what they've built together.
The Bigger Picture
They started small. They built carefully. Now they're shipping worldwide with a growing list of clients who come back — not because they have to, but because buying from Drew and Ashley feels different than buying from anywhere else.
They have two small kids, a dog who considers the workshop her personal domain, and a shared belief that building a business and building a life don't have to be separate things.
